Three new employees joining PSG Events

PSG is growing again, with the introduction of three new members of staff expanding our skill set even further!


Marius Goodwin (Maz) joined us early in December 2011 as a Senior Project manager.
Maz hails from Walsall and has been in the events industry for the past seven years working his way up from a conference technician in 2005 to Production Manager with a large Midlands based conference and events production company.

Maz brings a lot of large event experience with him having previously worked on a variety of events and conferences with budgets varying from 4k to100k. Primarily from a Sound engineering background, Maz has a strong technical understanding of all AV disciplines including video, lighting, rigging and IT.

Maz’s other interests in life are varied and include music, playing the piano, guitar and drums, going to gigs, watching films, cookery and most sports.

Maz’s reasons for joining PSG Events can be summed up as follows: - “I wished to join a forward thinking and challenging organisation where I would be able to utilise my business, technological, organisational, leadership and management skills”. I feel I have achieved these objectives by being part of PSG Events conference and events team.


Lee McPhilimey is joining us 3rd January. Previously with PSG Ltd/Mustard Presentations where he held a senior position managing their busy hire department.

Lee’s new position at PSG Events is Operations Manager where he will be working closely with director Tim Istead our Operations Director. Lee will have quite a few responsibilities which will include rejuvenating the rental department, managing road shows (we have a new 14 venue road show booked in for January) and providing logistical and very practical expertise for the Conference and Events department.

Lee lives in Nuneaton with his wife and they are expecting their first baby in a few months’ time. We keep telling him "life will never be the same again once the baby is born" but he doesn’t believe us, time will tell.


Jody Carvill joined us in December as Sales Manager. This is a new position in the company; she will be responsible for the initial contact with all new prospective clients. Jody’s background is all about Sales and Marketing in the venue finding and event management aspect of our industry.

Jody brings a new and very positive approach to the business and thoroughly enjoys talking to clients. She will play a very important role in securing new clients for our conferences and events team and the expansion of our rental AV business.

Being a lone woman working with ten men is a daunting prospect but Jody assures us that she is well up to the task and does not see it as a problem.

At present and for the next few months Jody is working part time for PSG Events, it is hoped that in the weeks to come she will become a full time employee.
